Programme Guidelines

Parallel Sessions
The conference is organized in 7 different Parallel Sessions. For each parallel session there will be 7 different sessions listed from A to G, i.e.: PS1a (Parallel Session 1a). Sessions are of 1.5 h, 2 hrs. and one session of 2.5 hrs. The number of papers assigned to each session is of 3, 4 and 5 papers accordingly. Each presenter has 20 minutes for presentation, followed by 5 minutes for his or her discussant's presentation and another 5 minutes for general discussion. 30 minutes in total per paper. Please respect the time limit for presenting your paper. We ask all presenters to arrive 10 minutes in advance and make sure that no technical problems occur. Chairs are asked to keep track of time rigorously.

Session's Chair
The last presenter in the session is assigned the role of the session's chair. The role of session chairs is crucial, not only for carefully managing the timing but also for ensuring an active discussion. He or she will welcome and introduce the participants and moderate the open discussion. If the session's chair is absent, the last presenter listed should take the role of the chair. Therefore, presenters should make sure to be in the room well in advance to meet the chair of session.

Discussants
As every yearly conference, every presenter is discussant of the previous paper. Accordingly the second paper is discussant of the first paper, the third speaker is discussant of the second paper and so forth. The first speaker is discussant of the last paper. All presenters/discussants should download the paper they have to discuss in advance from their Conftool account(Program overview -> Show Abstracts, Show downloads).

Room Equipment
Each room is equipped with computer and beamer. The available software for presentation is PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Reader. You were requested to send your presentation in advance (Deadline April 12th), but to avoid any last minute surprises, you are also required to bring your presentation file on a USB memory stick. We strongly recommend choosing a PDF format with embedded fonts for presentation. Otherwise it may be possible that the software cannot displ ay all fonts correctly.
